formation of the armored unit in the early years of the imposed war can be considered as one of the most important achievements of irgc. considering the harsh and severe conditions of those days, this event took place with many difficulties. in addition to hardware scarcities, the chief commanders' opinion in irgc toward an armored unit was a greater problem to be overcome by the commanders who were planning to form such a new unit. irgc's chief commanders did not make a crucial decision about the armored units until the end of the war and their commandership under went some basic changes from time to time. however, those commanders who were interested did not stop their attempt to form this unit and to remind its necessity to their chief commanders until the final days of the war
